Divorce is a very scary situation and a lot of people have a lot of fears about many things including what will happen to their property. So I interviewed Silky Sahan who is a divorce attorney so I could find out the most commonly asked questions. When divorcing there are 3 options that you could do with the family home.

1. Sell the house. When divorcing a couple can immediately sell the home and split it 50/50.

2. Buy out the other party. If one of them would like to keep the home they can buy out the others parties interest in the home.

3. The divorcing couple can keep the home if they feel that the house is going to go up in value. They can wait and sell the home at a later time that they agree upon.
