10 Must Not When Buying a Home!

Once you find your dream home, we need to make sure you get to move into it. The 10 must not once you’re in escrow on your new home. Oh my goodness. Over the years we’ve seen so many buyers make these crucial mistakes after they’ve already gone into escrow with their dream home.

Hi, my name is Krista Mashore with Homes By Krista and the Mashore Group. Feel free to reach out to me or one of my team members if you’d like us to go into more detail on any of these. Once you go into contract, don’t do any of the following.

Don’t change jobs, become self employed or quit your current job. Don’t buy a new car, van or truck or you might end up living in it. Don’t use any charge cards or let your accounts fall behind. Be sure not to spend any money you have set aside for closing.

Don’t omit any debt or liabilities from your loan application. Be sure not to buy any furniture, even if the payment is deferred until after closing. Don’t allow any additional inquiries on your credit except for the insurance purposes. Don’t make any large deposits or take out any large deposits without first checking in with your lender or your agent. Be sure not to change any bank accounts and don’t co-sign on a loan for anyone no matter what. And be sure to tell your lender if you already are a co-signer for anyone, as that debt goes against you.

I hope this helps. We want to make sure that you understand that once you get your home, how to actually close on your home. Give us a call here at Homes By Krista because we are here to help you find your dream home and assure that you’re safe in doing so. And remember, don’t forget, it doesn’t cost you anything to use us. We are free, the seller pays for our fees, but we are here to protect you.
